I knew you would live this show. I give you huge credit as an engineer I couldn't be a mid-wife. Though I have 2 of my own (and another as a step-daughter).

Thank you for sharing the art piece (and the artist for creating it). It is beautiful and something I could connect with since I had an unplanned C-section.

Agree with Courtney as I was so out of it from the spinal meds by the time I reached recovery that I don't even remember seeing my baby let alone holding him in recovery (thankfully I have pictures from my time in recovery so I know I did have him skin to skin).

Also, PLEASE talk to hospital staff about husbands/partners holding baby skin to skin. My husband had to fight like hell to hold his own baby skin to skin while I was being stitched up.

"We asked Nichole to turn our placenta into pills for the postpartum period as I heard it was great for the health of the mother. Not only did she pick up the placenta from the hospital and drop off the pills to our house, BUT she also dried our baby's umbilical cord into a heart shape and did placenta prints as keepsakes. I was just expecting some medicine, but the keepsakes are super cool to have. I had a velementous cord insertion and Nichole even called us after the fact to talk to us about our unique placenta which was fun to share :) I will definitely ask for her services on the 2nd child!" -Nikki, First time mom

"Nichole encapsulated my son's placenta for me. She had them ready the same day she picked it up, and was very nice and helpful. She had a Kind, calming energy about her :) " -Chelsea, First time mom

"I have nothing but extraordinary things to say about Nichole's placenta encapsulation and placenta prints. The prints are truly a work of art and my clients have been very happy with their capsules postpartum. As a midwife, Nichole is the person I recommend when my clients wish to have their placenta prepared for encapsulation. Not only is she prompt with pick up but she has the capsules back in a less than 24 hour turn around time in my experience and her prices are extremely reasonable. The entire experience is very professional - you won't be disappointed." -Kristine Lauria, Homebirth Midwife
